The question of what young visual artists associate with caves today is at the centre of a cooperation project between the University of the Arts Bremen and the Paula Modersohn-Becker Museum:
Students of the University of the Arts Bremen adressed the topic on the occasion of the current exhibition. They created new works and adapted existing work concepts for a place outside the actual museum rooms that is difficult to deal with: the cave-like vestibule, from which a staircase leads up to the museum foyer. Their lithographs, paintings, photographs, video works and installations welcome visitors to the exhibition and present a broad spectrum of thought-provoking associations.
The students' works will be shown in three interventions, each lasting three weeks.
